Lesson 3: No Exposure Certification provisions

Overall Question:
"Are any of the following materials or activities exposed to precipitation now or in the foreseeable future?"

Question 2: Are any of your "materials or residuals on the ground or in stormwater inlets from spills/leaks" exposed to precipitation now or in the foreseeable future?

Materials or residuals on the ground must be protected from Stormwater run-on and run-off and direct rainfall if they are to be considered not exposed to precipitation. The key to being able to say no to this question involves protection by a berm or other barrier from water run-on/run-off and covering the materials or residuals by a tarp or roofed structure.

If you have materials or residuals on the ground or in stormwater inlets from spills or leaks that are exposed to precipitation, answer "yes" to this question here and proceed to Lesson 2: Development of a stormwater pollution prevention plan.

If your answer is "no" to this question, then you can proceed to the third question.
