OR-OSHA offers small business safety committees guide

Small companies and sites trying to develop first-rate safety committees can get some great, free advice from OR-OSHA, the Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division. The agency has published a 46-page document titled "Innovative Safety Committees; A guide for workplaces with 10 or fewer employees" on its site.

The guide contains everything a small-business owner needs to set up productive safety committees, OR-OSHA says.

The guide can be accessed at http://www.cbs.state.or.us/external/osha/pdf/pubs/3124a.pdf or visit http://www.cbs.state.or.us/external/osha/ to read or download the document in PDF format. For more information, contact Ellis Brasch of OR-OSHA at (503) 947-7399 or ellis.k.brasch@state.or.us or Peggy Munsell at (503) 947-7446 or peggy.a.munsell@state.or.us.
