Dorene:

An up to date summary of what's happening in this area was presented by Chris James of Connecticut DEP air program at the National Pollution Prevnetion Roundtable Spring Conference on April 9. Chris is heading the STAPPA/ALAPCO (state and local air prog
ram reps) efforts to get a change in USEPA policy, which had been presented to USEPA in a letter to Bruce Jordan of February 24, 1998. It sounds like the change is likely in the policy that would let facilities out of the system if they make process cha
ng

My understanding is that they are now looking for facilities to volunteer for review under a new policy.

Paul Matthai at USEPA's OPPT is also familiar with developments in this area, 202-260-3385.

Anyone have any updated information on the guidance to eliminate the "once
in, always in" policy for the MACT requirements?

Doreen
