Just a quick update to Printech and Printreg subscribers re.
tomorrow's videoconference, Green and Profitable Printing '97:

If you still need information on downlink sites in your area, check
out the latest information at PNEAC's Web site.

Downlink sites will include:

1. Networks set up by local hosts in 18
U.S. states and Canada. Network coordinators are listed on a table
at the PNEAC Web site, at

2. Graphic arts education programs at 63 universities, colleges,
and technical colleges. These programs are listed on a table at

3. Sites (primarily at regulatory agencies) that are part of the Air
Pollution Distance Learning Network. These sites are primarily used
for in-house training, but some are inviting attendance by printers,
etc. The contact for these sites is Janyce Riess of EPA; check the
table for contact info.

A few updates re. the program:
* Carol Browner of EPA and Ben Cooper of PIA will provide opening
* Two opportunities during the national program will be provided
for participants to fax or phone questions for panel response.
Participants in the panels will include Gary Jones of GATF, Dave
Salman of EPA, Jeff Adrian of John Roberts Co., Gerry Bonetto of
Printing Ind. Assoc. of S. Cal., Gary Miller of WMRC, Karen Gross of
Fort James Corp., Bob Combs of General Litho Services and myself.

I would like to make a few specific requests of
Printech/Printreg participants:

*** Attend the program at a location near you, and contribute to the
program by faxing in some good questions for our panelists to handle.
You can really help by sending in some questions you think are
particularly important and relevant to most litho printers.

*** Consider how you can use this program as an opportunity to
further your partnership with graphic arts educators and students in
your area. We at PNEAC are very pleased to see the strong interest
in this program by graphic arts education programs, and believe these
programs would be very receptive to follow-up support by state and
local resources.

FYI: If you cannot attend the program, but would like to get a copy
of the videotape and course notebook, you can do so by sending a
check for $20 to Marilyn McDole, University of Wisconsin Solid &
Hazardous Waste Education Center, 610 Langdon St., Room 535,
Madison, WI 53703 (phone: 608-262-0910). Sorry, but to keep the
cost so low, we cannot bill.
