George Franz ---- I assume you are talking about water discharges. A few
years ago (well more than a few now) EPA looked at printing and decided that
the industry did not have sufficient polluting potential to warrant
pretreatment standards. There were standards set for plating and metal work
that affect gravure companies that do that sort of thing. And there are
standards (or criteria in any case) for the 129 priority pollutants that
would be used by the POTW in setting permit limits.

As far as I know, EPA in not thinking about setting any standards for
printing in the next few years. --- Tom Purcell
