Based on the photos this seems like a vertically challenging issue. Namely
the
press operator is not tall enough to comfortably reach the press. In the past
I have seen printers use step stools (available at the local retail store).
However I would take measures to purchase one that is sturdy and will not
easily slide around, such as the very inexpensive molded plastic type
(avoid).
Based on your comment about the custom made platform it sounds like the
printer
has come up with the recommended solution.
