Here is the followup information I received on Isopar C. It is from George
Fuchs at the National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers:

Isopar's are Exxon products they are marketed for use in liquid and
electrostatic (dry) toners. Exxon indicates that at one time Isopar c was
being marketed as a replacement for some of the acetates that were being used
in gravure ink systems as solvents. Apparently, it was an unsuccessful
campaign because none (or next to none) is being sold into this market today.
Most gravure inks systems are using 100% acetate as the solvent.
