Another inquiry from the PNEAC web site.
I am a student at Iowa State University doing research into
environmental aspects of Graphic Design in conjunction with a
professor here. While touring a local printer, I was told by a press
operator that the uncoated recycled stock often caused problems
with dot gain and in jamming the press. He said it seemed to be
getting worse rather than better (I assume because recycled
content is getting higher.) Could you speak to this? Or perhaps are
there other resources where I might find information on this?
Also, if you have any information to pass along as to the benefits
of waterless printing, I would greatly appreciate it.
