Kevin Samborn,

You asked about sources of paper that have not been chlorine bleached.

I recently spoke with a representative of AET-- the Alliance for
Environmental Technology. AET is an international association of
chemical manufacturers and forest products companies dedicated to
improving environmental performance of the pulp and paper industry.

The AET rep. sent me an extensive package of information about
Elemental Chlorine-Free (ECF) Bleaching--based on chorine dioxide.

I haven't had an opportunity to go through all of the information that they
sent, but ECF appears like a viable option. I am sure they can tell you
more about it and identify mills and vendors that can supply you with
such paper. Their phone number is:

AET -- (202) 835-1688
