Your inquiry to PNEAC regarding information about UV inks was forwarded to the Technical Information Desk. UV inks require a press equipped with a UV lamp/dryer and ink rollers made from special rubber compound that will not swell when in contact with the UV ink. In other words the press must be equipped to print UV ink. Most UV inks can be run with a durable plate and standard fountain solution. The window for ink water balance may be some what smaller than conventional inks. Hybrid UV inks are becoming popular as this ink can be run with regular ink rollers but requires a UV dryer in the delivery.
