In reference to my earlier email about cleaning the "dip rollers". I have to apologize for using "dip roller" without explanation or without my even knowing which roller it actually is. However after getting more information from the printer-the roller in question is the fountain roller, and it is cleaned ON the machine, which eliminates my previous strategy for reducing cleaner use, which is applied liberally (flooded) across the roller. I haven't seen the process (hotline call) but client reports the solvent use as very excessive. Site visit to follow. But is it really necessary to use a toluene/acetone/0 F flashpoint solvent to clean the fountain roller? Wouldn't an aqueous cleaner be more appropriate?
