For screen printers doing advertising, bumper sticker, signage (some very large format): Is anyone out there using straight PMS colors to avoid excessive ink waste? Does anyone have any figures on cost savings associated with this move to PMS only? I know it would be shop specific, but I'm working with a shop that has an incredible amount of ink inventory and wondered if this is a sensible option. They are not a very big shop (20-40 employees) and I would like to convince them to consider ways to reduce this inventory (some of it is years old). They are convinced that offering custom colors has provided them a market niche. Is that a valid argument for retaining huge inventories of ink? any suggestions, insights would be appreciated Thanks, sherrydavis Sherry J.
