Thank you for contacting PNEAC. Unfortunately, we are unable to fulfill your request for information regarding the possible developmental effects of toners used in the HP5SI laser printer. Information on the chemical composition of toners is very difficult to obtain as many vendors classify these as articles, which means they do not have to issue Material Safety Data Sheets. However, some manufacturers do supply them anyway. I would suggest that you contact HP directly to see what information they would be willing to provide. I would also suggest that the physician who is providing prenatal care also contact HP. According to OSHA, HP should release proprietary information as long as the physician is willing to sign a confidentially agreement. Good luck and let me know if I can provide any more information.
