Dear printechers: I have read that an acid-stop bath helps conserve fix solution, but should be recycled separately from the fix bath and requires different recovery equipment. Can someone shed some light on this subject? I didn't get any results on a search in the archives. I also read that fix cannot be reused if sent through MRC's. AND that washwaters with lower concentrations of silver reduce silver recovery efficiency, so fix and washwaters should be segregated. Is one of the silver recovery technologies better than the other for low- silver washwaters? How do shops REALLY handle silver recovery with these two streams for maximum recovery: separate batch process or just combine them? CMP site doesn't address acid-stop bath silver recovery. thanks again, sherry davis Sherry J.
