Keith I am glad to see that the checklist developed in Wisconsin is receiving feedback. SGIA International, in conjunction with the US EPA Design for the Environment program, developed a case study that looks at reusing emulsion remover. You can find it on the PNEAC website -- "Work Practice Alternatives for Screen Reclamation." High pressure wash systems are fairly common. There are quite a few vendors within the screen market that specailize in these systems. If you are interested, please contact me offline and I can offer recommendations. Again, there are several case studies on the PNEAC website that offer more information on this topic, and no, they do not reintroduce contaminants into the washwater. The case study titled "Changing Equipment and Reducing Sovlent Use in Screen Reclamation" profiles one company's progress towards integrating high pressure wash systems into their operation. The case study "Technology Alternatives for Screen Reclamation" also contains a discussion on high pressure wash systems. I also have a member contact that has developed a water recycling system, and I can put you in touch with the gentlemen. He is happy to share the information with others. Any other questions, please let me know. Marci Kinter SGIA International
