Welcome to the PNEAC Virtual Printing Plants!The Virtual Printing Plants (VPPs) provide a wealth of environmental and health & safety information for the printing industry in a new, easy-to-use format! With the click of a mouse, take a virtual tour of a typical printing plant and explore every area of a facility from the prepress area and pressroom to shipping and receiving. As you explore each department, click on tabs to access topic details on:
Printing technical assistance providers, as well as printers, will find a wealth of information to explore. Within each section, you will find links to online information including websites, fact sheets, articles, regulations, books, and more! The VPPs were designed for easy navigation in a variety of ways. The tour starts with the graphic overview of the plant; click on any topic in any department for immediate access. Once in the plant, the menu on the left accesses the topics and subtopics, while the tabs at the top of each topic section provides details. Or use the search page to find what you are looking for!
